On June 21st, I had the opportunity to attend Founderfest 2025, hosted by Foundervine at Convene, 155 Bishopsgate, London. The event brought together over 500 founders, investors, and ecosystem builders for a full day of panels, workshops, and networking sessions focused on purpose-driven entrepreneurship and inclusive innovation.
The Big Themes of the Day
1. Inclusive Growth as a Strategic Imperative
The day began with a thought-provoking session titled “Bolder Ambition: Inclusive Growth in the New Economy.” It reframed inclusion not as an afterthought, but as a growth strategy. Panelists shared insights on how startups can embed equity and access into their business models from day one.
2. The Future of Funding and Investment
A standout panel on the UK investment landscape featured voices like Natalie Gasson-McKinley from the British Business Bank. The conversation centered on how funding mechanisms must evolve to support underrepresented founders and how regional disparities in startup capital need to be actively addressed.
3. Artificial Intelligence and Startup Efficiency
A session by Implement AI titled “The Rise of the AI Agent” provided tactical frameworks for integrating AI into early-stage operations. It highlighted how automation, when applied correctly, can give small teams the same leverage as larger organisations.
4. Breaking Borders and Scaling Globally
Another key panel explored the readiness of tech founders to expand beyond their domestic markets. Legal, operational, and marketing strategies for international scale were discussed, with an emphasis on collaboration across ecosystems.
The Experience Beyond the Panels
Founderfest wasn’t just about listening — it was about engaging. Workshops ranged from founder wellbeing and mental health to hands-on brand building and legal advisory clinics in partnership with CMS. I had the chance to interact directly with legal experts, investors, and other founders who are solving very similar problems to those we see in India.
The pitch competition segment was particularly energising. Startups pitched their solutions live, competing for mentoring opportunities, legal support, and productivity tools — a sharp reminder that clarity of vision and precision in storytelling matter at every stage.
Takeaways I’m Bringing Back
As a co-founder of Trustbridge Ventures, I’m committed to applying these global insights in a local context:
- Advocate for inclusive finance frameworks for small business founders in India
- Launch AI-based support tools to simplify daily operations for rural and semi-urban entrepreneurs
- Initiate peer support circles for founder wellness as part of our community-first approach
- Build international collaborations to create global exposure for high-potential Indian startups
Final Reflection
Founderfest was more than an event — it was a statement. A statement that the future of business will be shaped by those who lead with both purpose and performance. It reminded me that no matter where we operate, the challenges of building a business are deeply human and universally shared.
I'm grateful to the team at Foundervine, the speakers, and every attendee who made this such a meaningful experience. The conversations I had and the ideas I encountered will play a real role in shaping how we serve our clients and community at Trustbridge Ventures.
